Fontana, the historic 15th-century fountain in Peja, Kosovo, once served as the heart of the community, a space where residents gathered and connected. Though its role faded with modernization, the fountain’s ever-flowing water remains a powerful symbol of the city’s identity and resilience .The restoration project is more than a simple reconstruction—it’s a journey of bringing Fontana’s former glory back to the present. By preserving its traditional elements and integrating modern amenities, the fountain is returning to its role as a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike. Just as its story began at the fountain, this initiative completes a circular narrative, reconnecting Peja’s past with its present. Fontana’s flowing waters symbolize renewal and resilience, breathing new life into the city’s enduring legacy.
